This market will resolve to "Up" if the META/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the META/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the META/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/meta-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink META/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-22T18:00:00Z

Currently, the collective wisdom of traders on Predict offers a distinct perspective compared to traditional analyst forecasts for Meta. While analysts often provide point estimates or ranges, this market aggregates diverse opinions into a probabilistic forecast. If analysts are largely bullish on Meta, you might see a higher probability assigned to the 'up' outcome here, and vice versa. However, prediction markets can sometimes incorporate information that isn’t immediately reflected in analyst reports, such as sentiment from social media or early indicators of market trends.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Meta stock will close up or down. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of each outcome, as determined by supply and demand. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe the stock will go up, the higher the price of 'up' contracts will climb, and the lower the price of 'down' contracts will fall. This dynamic pricing mechanism creates a constantly updating forecast based on the collective intelligence of the crowd.
This market resolves around Oct 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Meta Platforms, Inc. stock between 2:00 PM and 2:15 PM Eastern Time on October 22, 2026, will determine whether the market settles in favor of 'up' or 'down'. The direction is determined by comparing the closing price to its price at the market's launch. This provides a clear, objective basis for determining the result of this market.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before it resolves. Major earnings reports from Meta, announcements of new products or strategic initiatives, and broader macroeconomic trends impacting the technology sector are all potential catalysts. Unexpected news regarding regulatory scrutiny, changes in key leadership, or significant shifts in user engagement metrics could also move the market. Additionally, overall market sentiment and investor confidence in the tech industry will likely play a role in shaping the probabilities observed on Predict.
