Description

Legislative elections are expected to be held in Israel on October 27, 2026. This market will resolve to “Bibi” (Netanyahu bloc) if Likud, Otzma Yehudit, RZP-Zehut, Amcha Yisrael, United Torah Judaism, and Shas win a greater combined total of seats in the Israeli Knesset as a result of this election than The Democrats, Yashar, Together, and Yisrael Beiteinu. This market will resolve to “Opp.” (opposition bloc) if The Democrats, Yashar, Together, and Yisrael Beiteinu win a greater combined total of seats in the Israeli Knesset as a result of this election than Likud, Otzma Yehudit, RZP-Zehut, Amcha Yisrael, United Torah Judaism, and Shas. Seats won by any party not named above will not count toward either bloc. If both blocs win the same combined number of seats, this market will resolve to the bloc whose named parties received the greater combined total of valid votes, counting only the votes of named parties that pass the electoral threshold. If the blocs remain tied, this market will resolve 50-50. If the results of this election are not definitively known by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve 50-50. This market's resolution will be based solely on the number of seats won by the named parties in the Israeli Knesset. This market will resolve based on the election results, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by Israel’s Central Election Committee (Va'adet HaBehirot HaMerkazit) (https://www.gov.il/en/departments/central-elections-committee/govil-landing-page).

Currently, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional polling averages for the Israeli election. While polls attempt to capture a snapshot of voter intent at a specific moment, this market reflects a continuously updated assessment based on individuals putting their capital behind their beliefs. Discrepancies between the two can arise due to factors like poll weighting, methodology, and the ability of markets to incorporate a wider range of information, including qualitative factors and real-time news events. It's important to consider both sources when forming an informed opinion.

On Polymarket, this market is priced using a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, with higher prices indicating greater confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price fluctuates based on supply and demand; if more people believe a particular bloc will win, demand for shares representing that outcome increases, driving up the price. This dynamic pricing mechanism aggregates the collective wisdom of traders, offering a real-time forecast.

This market resolves around Oct 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final official seat count from the Israeli election is verifiable from credible public reporting. The bloc winning more seats, as determined by the official results, will be the winning outcome for this market. Resolution will be based on publicly available data from the Central Elections Committee or other recognized and authoritative sources. Traders should monitor these sources as the election results are announced to understand the basis for resolution.

Several signals and events could significantly move this market before Oct 28, 2026. Major developments in the political landscape, such as shifts in party alliances, unexpected candidate endorsements, or significant policy announcements, could all influence trader sentiment. Real-time polling data releases, particularly those showing substantial changes in voter preferences, will also likely impact prices. Additionally, unforeseen events like geopolitical tensions or economic shocks could introduce new uncertainties and lead to market adjustments. Monitoring news coverage and political analysis is crucial for understanding potential catalysts.
