Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the UTJ seat count market tracks the current odds of various outcomes regarding the number of seats United Torah Judaism (UTJ) will win in the 2026 Knesset elections. You’ll find a price history chart showing how the probabilities have shifted over time, as well as the 24-hour trading volume, which currently stands at $5,935. The total volume traded on this market is $52,898. Traders on Polymarket are expressing their beliefs about the likely outcome through their buy and sell orders, creating a dynamic view of expectations.

Currently, prediction market odds suggest a different outlook than many traditional polls. While polls often focus on overall party support, this market specifically targets the number of seats UTJ will secure. Polling averages may indicate a general trend in voter preference, but they don't directly translate to seat projections, which are influenced by electoral thresholds and district-level dynamics. This market reflects a more focused assessment of UTJ’s potential performance, incorporating factors that polls might not fully capture, such as coalition possibilities and strategic voting.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in different outcomes. The price of each share reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. Higher demand for shares representing a particular seat count increases its price, indicating greater confidence in that scenario. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by new information, shifts in public opinion, and strategic trading activity, offering a real-time assessment of expectations for UTJ’s electoral performance.

This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official results of the 2026 Israeli Knesset election are publicly available and verifiable from credible public reporting. The number of seats officially allocated to UTJ by the Central Elections Committee will determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders will be able to see the final outcome and how their predictions aligned with the actual election results after the official announcement. The final seat count will be the basis for settlement.

Several factors could significantly impact this market before Oct 27, 2026. Major political events, such as shifts in coalition negotiations, significant policy announcements from UTJ, or unexpected changes in party leadership, could all influence trader sentiment. Public opinion polls, while not directly reflected in the market, can also act as a catalyst for price movement. Furthermore, any major geopolitical events or security concerns could indirectly affect voting intentions and, consequently, the odds in this market. Unexpected candidate withdrawals or scandals could also play a role.
