Intro

This market tracks whether Ethereum will drop below specific price thresholds by a set date in 2027. On Kalshi, the probability that Ethereum will reach below $1500.00 by Jan 1, 2027 at 12:00AM ET stands at 23.0%, while the second outcome, reaching below $1250.00 by the same date, is at 21.0%. The resolution is based on the spot price of Ethereum in U.S. dollars. Watch for price movements leading up to the resolution date of Jan 1, 2027 at 12:00AM ET.

Kalshi

Resolution is determined by the CF Ethereum Real-Time Index (ETHUSD_RTI) measured from market issuance through January 1, 2027 at 12:00 AM ET. The resolution price is calculated using a trimmed mean methodology: all minute-by-minute ETHUSD_RTI values during the measurement period are collected, the top 20% and bottom 20% of values are excluded, and the remaining 60% are averaged. Each outcome resolves to Yes if the trimmed mean price reaches or falls below its specified threshold. If no data is available at expiration, all outcomes resolve to No. Price data from CF Benchmarks is considered authoritative, and any revisions made after expiration do not affect market resolution.

Frequently asked questions

The dashboard tracks real-time odds and trading activity for the question of how low Ethereum's price will fall by the end of 2026 on Kalshi. It displays current implied probabilities, 24-hour volume of $5,003, and cumulative group volume of $1,027,721 across all related outcome contracts. The interface updates live odds as traders buy and sell shares, reflecting the market's collective forecast on Ethereum's minimum price level during the 2026 calendar year.

Prediction market odds on Kalshi reflect traders' probabilistic bets on Ethereum's floor price, which often diverge from current spot prices or analyst price targets. While spot markets price Ethereum's present value, this prediction market isolates the tail-risk probability of reaching specific low thresholds by year-end 2026. Comparing the implied odds to consensus analyst forecasts or on-chain sentiment indicators can reveal whether the market is pricing in more or less downside risk than traditional research suggests.

On Kalshi, this event is structured around the specific outcome: Will Ethereum reach below $1250.00 by January 1, 2027 at 12:00AM ET? On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy or sell shares at prices between 0 and 100 cents, with the current implied probability at 23.0% percent. Each share pays $1 if the outcome occurs or $0 if it does not. The price discovery mechanism reflects real-time supply and demand from traders positioning on whether Ethereum will breach that threshold before the deadline.

Major catalysts include macroeconomic shocks, Federal Reserve policy shifts, and Bitcoin volatility, since Ethereum typically correlates with broader crypto market sentiment. Regulatory announcements—especially around staking, DeFi, or institutional custody—can trigger sharp repricing. Technical developments such as Ethereum protocol upgrades, network security incidents, or shifts in Layer 2 adoption also influence long-term price expectations. Additionally, competing blockchain platforms gaining market share or changes in institutional demand for crypto assets could push Ethereum toward lower price levels by 2026.
