This set of markets tracks whether the EURUSD exchange rate will exceed various thresholds at a specific future moment. Each market provides a different threshold level, allowing participants to assess the likelihood of the rate reaching or surpassing each specified value.
All markets resolve based on the EURUSD opening candlestick value published by Pyth at exactly 5:00 PM EDT on October 23, 2026. For any market, if the rate at that precise moment is above the stated threshold (rounded to four decimal places), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Post-expiration revisions to the exchange rate are disregarded. If Pyth data is unavailable at 5:00 PM EDT, the most recent available value before that time will be used for resolution. Each market features a distinct numerical threshold, ranging incrementally from 1.101 to 1.139, with identical resolution mechanics applying uniformly across all thresholds.
Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may rely on economic models and geopolitical assessments, this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd, representing a diverse range of opinions and information. It's common to see discrepancies, particularly when unexpected events occur or when there’s significant uncertainty surrounding the EURUSD exchange rate. Examining these differences can provide valuable insights into market expectations and potential blind spots in conventional analysis. This comparison is a useful exercise for anyone following the currency markets.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different potential EURUSD price ranges. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that price range being the actual outcome on October 23rd at 5:00 PM EDT. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the market. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated based on the latest information and sentiment, creating a real-time forecast of the EURUSD exchange rate.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Oct 23, 2026. Major economic data releases from the United States and the Eurozone, such as inflation reports, employment figures, and GDP growth data, are key catalysts. Unexpected geopolitical events, like shifts in trade policy or political instability within the EU or US, could also cause substantial price fluctuations. Central bank announcements regarding interest rate decisions from the Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank will be closely watched. Any surprise announcements or deviations from market expectations could lead to rapid changes in the EURUSD price market.
