Currently, it’s difficult to directly compare the odds in this market to traditional polling averages, as predicting tweet counts isn't a common subject for public opinion surveys. However, analyzing general sentiment towards Elon Musk and his social media activity, as reflected in news articles and social media discussions, can offer a point of comparison. If polls were to ask about expectations for his tweeting frequency, any significant divergence from this market's implied probabilities would be noteworthy and suggest differing perspectives on his likely behavior.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in different outcomes. The price of a share reflects the market's collective probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the share price will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing allows the market to aggregate information and reflect the latest expectations regarding Elon Musk's tweeting activity during the specified period.
