This market tracks the outcome of the 2026 Ceará gubernatorial election in Brazil, forecasting which candidate will win. Currently, the consensus probability that Elmano de Freitas will win is 98.9%. This forecast aggregates data from Polymarket and Kalshi, and will resolve based on official results reported by the Brazilian Superior Electoral Court (TSE) (www.tse.jus.br/eleicoes/resultados-eleicoes). Keep an eye on the election itself, expected to take place in October 2026, as the results will determine the outcome of this market.
The Ceará gubernatorial election is scheduled to take place in Brazil on October 4, 2026, with a runoff on October 25, 2026, if no candidate receives a majority of the valid votes in the first round. This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins this election. Temporary, interim, or placeholder governors appointed by any means before the specified election will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the result of the election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Brazilian government, specifically the Superior Electoral Court (Tribunal Superior Eleitoral, TSE) (e.g., www.tse.jus.br/eleicoes/resultados-eleicoes).
The market resolves to Yes if any of the specified candidates—Elmano de Freitas, Ciro Gomes, or Eduardo Girão—wins the 2026 Ceará gubernatorial election. Resolution will be based on official election results. The market is eligible for accelerated resolution when a consensus of major media outlets has called the election outcome, allowing for earlier determination before final official certification if the result is sufficiently clear and confirmed across multiple credible news sources.
