Currently, this market reflects a different outlook than recent polling data for the Sergipe presidential vote. While polls suggest a close race, the current probabilities on Polymarket indicate a stronger likelihood of one candidate prevailing. It's important to remember that polls capture a snapshot in time and are subject to methodological limitations, while this market represents a continuously updated assessment based on individuals putting their capital at risk. Discrepancies can arise due to differing methodologies, sample biases, and the predictive power of informed traders.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous exchange where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief in each candidate's chance of winning the Sergipe presidential vote. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand; if more traders believe a candidate will win, the price of their contract increases, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic probability assessment that reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd. The current implied probability is shaped by recent trading activity and available information.
This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official results of the Sergipe presidential vote are verifiable from credible public reporting. The market will settle to 100% for the candidate who receives the most votes in Sergipe, as determined by the official election authorities. Traders who correctly predicted the winner will receive a payout based on the final market prices.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Oct 26, 2026. Major developments in the candidates' campaigns, such as significant policy announcements or endorsements, could shift voter sentiment.
