Frequently asked questions

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional polling averages. While polls capture a snapshot of stated voter intentions, this market aggregates the informed opinions of individuals with skin in the game. Discrepancies can arise due to factors like poll weighting, sampling bias, and the ability of market participants to incorporate a wider range of information, including economic indicators and political developments. It’s common to see this market adjust more rapidly to new information than polls, potentially offering a more dynamic view of the election’s trajectory.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective assessment of its probability. As more traders participate, the prices converge to represent a consensus view. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price movements are driven by supply and demand, responding to news, events, and shifts in public sentiment. Traders aim to profit by accurately predicting the election outcome, and their actions collectively determine the probabilities displayed on the platform.

This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results announced by the relevant electoral authorities in Brazil, determining which candidate has secured the presidency. The market will then settle, and traders will receive payouts based on the final outcome and their positions in the market. It’s important to monitor news sources leading up to the resolution date to stay informed about the official results and any potential challenges to the process.
