This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the BTC/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance BTC/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect traders' collective belief about Bitcoin's direction by Jun 7, 2026, which may differ from current spot price momentum or technical analysis. While spot price expectations focus on immediate price action and volatility, prediction markets price in longer-term uncertainty, funding costs, and tail risks over the full event window. Comparing Polymarket odds to analyst forecasts or on-chain signals can reveal whether the market is pricing in consensus or contrarian views. Divergences often signal where informed traders see value or risk.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy and sell shares representing either the up or down outcome. The price of each share reflects the market's probability estimate, ranging from 0 to 1 (or 0% to 100%). Polymarket uses an automated market maker model, so prices adjust continuously based on order flow and liquidity. Traders can enter or exit positions at any time before Jun 7, 2026, and the final settlement price is determined by the resolution criteria tied to Bitcoin's price movement at the specified time.
Major catalysts include Federal Reserve policy announcements, inflation data, and macroeconomic sentiment shifts that affect risk appetite. Regulatory news—especially from the SEC or international bodies—can trigger sharp directional moves. On-chain metrics like exchange inflows, whale transactions, and funding rates may signal institutional positioning. Technical levels and support/resistance zones guide short-term traders. Geopolitical events, corporate adoption news, and Bitcoin mining difficulty adjustments can also influence price. Market-wide volatility spikes often precede the resolution window, creating trading opportunities for prediction market participants.
