PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: The platforms diverge in how they frame the possible outcomes. Polymarket focuses on specific basis point changes, while Kalshi focuses on broader action categories.Hero tip: Consider hedging across platforms if you have a strong directional view but are unsure about the exact magnitude. Polymarket requires a precise prediction of the bps change, while Kalshi only requires predicting the direction of the move.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Polymarket markets resolve based on the *change* in basis points to the Bank Rate after the November 2026 meeting. Specific thresholds (e.g., +50bps, -25bps) are used, with rounding rules for changes less than 25bps or equidistant from 25bps.
  • Kalshi: Kalshi markets resolve 'Yes' if the Bank of England takes a specific action (Cut, Maintain, Hike) at the November 2026 meeting. The actions are categorized into ranges (e.g., Cut 1-25bps, Hike more than 25bps).
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market will resolve according to the change in basis points in the Bank Rate resulting from the November 2026 meeting of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee, relative to the level it was prior to this meeting. The resolution source will be official information from the Bank of England, including the statement or release from its November 2026 Monetary Policy Committee meeting, scheduled for November 5, 2026, as listed on the official Bank of England calendar (https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/monetary-policy/upcoming-mpc-dates). This market may resolve as soon as the statement or release of the Bank of England's November 2026 Monetary Policy Committee meeting with relevant data is issued. If the specified rate is defined by an upper and lower bound, the relevant change will be the change to the upper bound. If the specified rate is changed to a level not expressed in the displayed options, the change will be rounded according to the following guidelines. Increases or decreases of less than 25 bps will be rounded to 25 bps (e.g. an increase or decrease of 10 bps would be considered to be an increase or decrease of 25 bps). Increases or decreases of greater than 25 bps will be rounded to the nearest 25 bps and will be rounded away from 0 in cases of equidistance (e.g., an increase or decrease of 37.5 bps would be considered to be an increase or decrease of 50 bps). Displayed options of “Increase” or “Decrease” will include policy rate increases or decreases of any size. If the specified meeting is postponed to a date and time before the start of the next scheduled meeting, this market will resolve based on the outcome of that postponed meeting. If the specified meeting is cancelled, or postponed such that no decision is announced by the start of the next scheduled meeting, this market will resolve to the “No Change” bracket. Emergency changes to the specified rate not resulting from the specified meeting will not be considered.

Kalshi

The resolution of all markets depends on the official policy rate decision announced by the Bank of England following its November Monetary Policy Committee meeting. Only changes to the primary policy rate are considered; multiple rates do not affect outcomes. If the meeting is cancelled or delayed past the expiration date, the “No change” market resolves to Yes, and all others resolve to No. Emergency rate changes occurring between scheduled meetings do not impact the resolution of these contracts. Each market resolves to Yes only if the actual rate movement falls precisely within its defined basis point range, which are inclusive (e.g., a 25 basis point cut would satisfy both the “Cut more than 25bps” and “Cut 1-25bps” markets). The five markets collectively cover all possible outcomes: cutting rates by more than 25 basis points, cutting rates by 1-25 basis points, maintaining the current rate, hiking rates by 1-25 basis points, or hiking rates by more than 25 basis points.
