Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the AMZN/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the AMZN/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the AMZN/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/amzn-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink AMZN/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-22T18:00:00Z

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts frequently publish price targets and ratings based on fundamental and technical analysis, this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are putting their capital at risk. Discrepancies can arise from differing interpretations of information, varying risk appetites, or the inclusion of factors not typically considered in standard financial models. It's common to see this market diverge from consensus analyst expectations, offering a potentially valuable alternative viewpoint on Amazon’s short-term trajectory.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Amazon stock will close up or down. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a probability assessment. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means that as more traders believe the stock will go up, the price of 'up' contracts increases, and vice versa. The platform uses this dynamic pricing to reflect the aggregated sentiment of all participants, providing a real-time estimate of the market’s expectation.

This market resolves around Oct 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Amazon stock between 2:00 PM and 2:15 PM ET on October 22nd will determine whether the market settles in favor of 'up' or 'down'. The final price will be sourced from a reputable financial data provider. Traders will then be paid out based on their positions and the ultimate direction of the stock price during that 15-minute window.

Several factors could significantly influence this market before Oct 22, 2026. Major economic data releases, such as inflation reports or GDP figures, could impact overall market sentiment and affect Amazon’s stock price. Company-specific news, including earnings announcements, product launches, or changes in leadership, would also be key catalysts. Unexpected geopolitical events or shifts in regulatory policies could also create volatility. Finally, broader market trends and investor risk appetite will play a role in shaping the direction of this market leading up to the resolution date.
