This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Amazon (AMZN) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Amazon (AMZN) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Amazon (AMZN), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Amazon (AMZN) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AMZN/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Amazon (AMZN) trades governs.

Currently, the prevailing sentiment in this market suggests a roughly 250 chance of the Amazon stock price being above its current level on October 5, 2026. This contrasts with typical analyst forecasts, which often rely on financial modeling and company reports. While analysts may provide price targets and ratings, this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are putting their capital at risk based on their own assessments of future events. It’s important to consider both perspectives when forming your own opinion.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the outcome. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts to reflect the evolving consensus. This creates a dynamic and real-time assessment of the likelihood of the Amazon stock price closing above its current level on the specified date.
This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether the closing price of Amazon stock on October 5, 2026, is above its current price. The final price will be determined by a trusted source of financial data, ensuring a transparent and objective outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their strategies based on the verified result.
Several factors could significantly influence this market between now and Oct 5, 2026. Major company announcements from Amazon, such as earnings reports or new product launches, would likely cause price fluctuations. Broader economic trends, including interest rate changes or shifts in consumer spending, could also play a role. Unexpected geopolitical events or significant changes in the technology sector could also impact investor sentiment and, consequently, the price of Amazon stock. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to trade in this market.
