This market often reflects polling averages, but can diverge based on trader sentiment and recent developments. If polls show strong support for repeal, this market may price a higher chance of passage than surveys suggest, or vice versa. Traders may react faster than pollsters to events like campaign announcements or media coverage, creating temporary gaps between market odds and public opinion data.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the election result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final vote tally from Alaska's official election authorities will determine whether the repeal measure passes, and thus settle this market's contracts.
Key events that could shift this market include released polling updates, debates or public statements from leading advocates or opponents, endorsements from influential figures, and any legal challenges to the ballot measure. Each new development may cause traders to reassess the likelihood of repeal, moving odds on Polymarket before the final vote.
