On September 8, 2026, Meta launched Muse, a personal AI agent that runs on a cloud computer dedicated to each user and carries out tasks, such as sending email and booking travel (https://about.fb.com/news/2026/09/introducing-muse-personal-ai-agent/). This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed company launches a Muse-like personal agent by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Muse-like personal agent is an AI agent that runs on a cloud computer provided by the listed company that is dedicated to the individual user and remains assigned to that user between tasks, can begin tasks on its own, such as on a schedule or when a new email arrives, and can take actions on websites or in the user's connected accounts, such as sending email or submitting forms. Computing environments created for each task or session will not qualify. Products limited to a single type of task, such as coding, software development, email, or travel booking, offered only through an API, or sold only to businesses will not qualify. A Muse-like personal agent must be launched and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice. Availability limited to paid subscription plans or to certain countries will qualify. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the listed company, with additional verification from a consensus of credible reporting.

Currently, it's difficult to directly compare the odds in this market to specific analyst forecasts regarding the development of a Muse-like personal agent. However, the prevailing sentiment among AI researchers suggests that creating such an agent by Jan 1, 2027 is a significant technical challenge. The current implied probability on Polymarket reflects a high degree of confidence that someone will launch such an agent, which contrasts with some more conservative estimates from industry commentators.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders can buy and sell shares in the 'Yes' outcome at prices determined by supply and demand. The price of a share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of a Muse-like agent launching before Jan 1, 2027. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe the event will happen, the higher the price of a 'Yes' share will climb, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic pricing mechanism that constantly updates based on new information and sentiment.
This market resolves around Jan 1, 2027, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, resolution will depend on whether a demonstrably Muse-like personal agent—defined as an AI assistant with similar capabilities to those described in the Muse project—has been publicly launched by any organization before the resolution date. The launch must be widely reported and accessible to the public to be considered valid for the purposes of this market.
Several signals could significantly impact this market. Major announcements from companies like Anthropic, Google, or OpenAI regarding their AI assistant development plans would be key catalysts. Breakthroughs in AI research, particularly in areas like long-term memory, reasoning, and multimodal capabilities, could also shift the odds. Conversely, reports of significant technical hurdles or delays in these projects could lower the probability of a launch before Jan 1, 2027, causing the price of 'Yes' shares to decrease.
