Netflix is expected to update its global Top 10 TV shows list on top10.netflix.com on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, 3:00 PM ET, reflecting viewership from the previous week (Monday to Sunday). This market will resolve based on which show this update ranks as the #2 global Netflix show. Shows will be primarily ranked by chart ranking. If two or more shows are tied on chart ranking, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the shows' listed titles. This market will resolve to the show that occupies the second-highest finishing position after applying this ranking. The ranking is based on total views globally, as reported by Netflix for TV shows (English only). If the top10.netflix.com update does not occur by October 23, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".

Comparing prediction market odds to analyst forecasts reveals interesting insights into collective wisdom versus expert opinion. Often, this market demonstrates a different perspective than traditional media predictions or analyst reports. While analysts may focus on critical reception or pre-release hype, the market reflects real-time viewership data and changing consumer preferences. Discrepancies can arise from factors analysts might overlook, such as viral marketing or unexpected cultural resonance. It’s valuable to consider both viewpoints when evaluating the potential for a show to achieve the #2 global ranking.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each show becoming the #2 global Netflix show. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that show winning, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular show, its price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of success. Conversely, selling pressure drives the price down. This dynamic pricing ensures the market odds continuously adapt to new information and sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the #2 global Netflix show for the week of October 20 is verifiable from credible public reporting. The ranking will be determined based on Netflix’s official viewership data, as reported by a widely recognized and trusted source. The market will settle to 100% for the show that holds the #2 position according to these metrics, and 0% for all other potential outcomes. The resolution process focuses on objective data rather than subjective assessments.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before it resolves. Unexpected viewership numbers released by Netflix for any of the contending shows would be a major catalyst. Positive or negative critical reception, particularly if it generates substantial social media buzz, could also shift the odds. A surprise announcement regarding a show’s renewal or cancellation could also influence trader sentiment. Finally, broader cultural events or trending topics that align with a specific show’s theme could drive increased viewership and, consequently, impact this market.
