This prediction market asks forecasters to identify which movie will be the second-highest-ranked film on Netflix's global Top 10 movies list for the week of November 3, 2026. The ranking is based on total views reported by Netflix, with ties broken alphabetically.
Netflix is expected to update its global Top 10 movies list on top10.netflix.com on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 3:00 PM ET, reflecting viewership from the previous week (Monday to Sunday). This market will resolve based on which movie this update ranks as the #2 global Netflix movie. Movies will be primarily ranked by chart ranking. If two or more movies are tied on chart ranking, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the movies' listed titles. This market will resolve to the movie that occupies the second-highest finishing position after applying this ranking. The ranking is based on total views globally, as reported by Netflix for Global Top 10 Movies (English only). If the top10.netflix.com update does not occur by November 6, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".
Each market resolves to Yes if its designated movie appears in the #2 position on the Netflix Top 10 Global Movie chart published on November 3, 2026. The chart reflects viewing data for the week ending the previous Sunday, with all markets closing at 11:59 PM ET the day before the chart's publication. All markets explicitly state that neither Netflix nor Kalshi endorses these speculative products, and any references to Netflix are purely descriptive.
Prediction market odds, such as those found in this market, often offer a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. Analysts typically rely on historical data, studio marketing spend, and critical reception to predict viewership. However, this market harnesses the wisdom of the crowd, allowing traders to incorporate a wider range of information, including social media buzz, word-of-mouth, and even early viewing data. This can lead to more accurate predictions, as the collective intelligence of the market can identify subtle signals that analysts might miss. The current volume of $207 demonstrates active trading and evolving sentiment.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi may differ due to variations in trader demographics, liquidity, and market-specific rules. Polymarket currently favors Will "Gladiator II" be the #2 global Netflix movie this week? at 48.5%, while Kalshi leans toward Will Animals be #2 Global Netflix Movie on Nov 2, 2026? at 9.0%. These discrepancies can also arise from differing levels of information access and interpretation among traders on each platform. Furthermore, the trading interfaces and fee structures on each platform can influence trading behavior and, consequently, the implied probabilities reflected in the market prices.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The determination will be based on publicly available viewership data from Netflix, identifying the movie that ranks as number two globally during the specified week. The outcome will be determined by independent verification of the data, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution process. Traders should monitor reliable sources for updates on Netflix’s top 10 lists as the resolution date approaches to understand the potential impact on this market.
Several signals could significantly impact this market before it resolves around Nov 4, 2026. Unexpected critical reviews or viral social media campaigns for potential contenders could shift trader sentiment. Netflix's own promotional efforts, including featured placement on the platform, will also be a key driver. Any news regarding release dates or availability in major international markets could also move the odds. Finally, early viewership data released by third-party tracking services could provide valuable insights and trigger significant trading activity in this market.
