In the upcoming Premier Division (Ireland) game between Waterford FC and Dundalk FC, scheduled for September 11, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Waterford FC vs. Dundalk FC match originally scheduled for September 11, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading based on their own research and beliefs. As more information becomes available – such as team news or weather forecasts – the odds on Polymarket can shift more rapidly than those offered by sportsbooks, potentially offering value to informed traders.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. As traders exchange shares, the prices adjust, providing a dynamic and real-time assessment of the likely outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more shares purchased for a specific exact score, the higher its price will climb, indicating increased confidence in that result.
This market resolves around Sep 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Waterford FC vs. Dundalk FC match – specifically, the exact final score – will determine the winning shares. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in incorrect scores will forfeit their investment. The resolution process relies on publicly available, authoritative sources to ensure accuracy.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Waterford FC or Dundalk FC would likely cause shifts in the odds. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions on match day could also influence trading activity. Unexpected announcements about coaching changes or internal team issues could also move the market. Monitoring these signals and assessing their potential impact on the final score is crucial for traders in this market.
