On Polymarket, this market is priced through trader activity, often showing sharper or more volatile lines than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds incorporate broader factors and may lag real-time sentiment. Prediction markets can reflect crowd wisdom more dynamically, especially with low 24-hour volume of $117, making odds shift quickly on news or team updates.
On Polymarket, this market reflects a consensus view shaped by its user base and liquidity depth, while Predict may show different pricing due to its own active traders and market dynamics. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Additionally, differences in available betting options or user sentiment across the two venues can lead to variations in implied probabilities. Market design choices, such as fee structures or order types, further influence how prices form and shift on each platform. These factors combined mean that odds for the first goal scorer market can appear distinct even when tracking the same match.
