Description

This market refers to the Valorant match between 100 Thieves and Sentinels in the VCT Americas Stage 1 Group Omega, initially scheduled for April 19 at 8:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "100 Thieves" if 100 Thieves win the match against Sentinels. This market will resolve to "Sentinels" if Sentinels win the match against 100 Thieves. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

All Polymarket markets share identical resolution logic based on official vlr.gg results, with consistent handling of incomplete matches, forfeits, cancellations, and the 7-day delay threshold. Kalshi provides no detailed rules, so resolution is based on Polymarket's unified framework.

Primary resolution logic:

Official information from https://vlr.gg, with fallback to credible reporting and video evidence if vlr.gg does not publish results within 2 hours of event conclusion.

Core resolution logic:

  • Match Winner (BO3): Resolves to the team winning the best-of-three series. If match is forfeited/disqualified before play begins, resolves 50-50. If match begins but is incomplete with one team winning via opponent forfeiture, resolves to the winning team.
  • Map 1 Winner and Map 2 Winner: Each resolves to the team winning the specified map if that map is completed. If the map is not completed for any reason, resolves 50-50.
  • Games Total O/U 2.5: Resolves Over if 3 or more maps are played (including forfeited maps in a completed match). Resolves Under if fewer than 3 maps are played. Forfeits on the clinching map count as a completed match.
  • Map Handicap 100T (-1.5) vs Sentinels (+1.5): Resolves to 100 Thieves if they win 2 or more maps than Sentinels; otherwise resolves to Sentinels. Forfeited maps count toward the handicap in a completed match.
  • Cancellation and Delay Rule: If the match is canceled entirely, delayed beyond 7 days from April 19 without play beginning, or ends in a tie, all markets resolve 50-50.
  • Incomplete Match with Forfeiture: If the match begins but is not completed and one team wins via opponent forfeiture/disqualification/walkover, the Match Winner resolves to the winning team, but Games Total and Map Handicap resolve 50-50.

Edge cases & Clarifications:

  • Clinching Map Forfeiture: If the match ends because the clinching map (Map 3 in a BO3) is forfeited, this counts as a completed match. Games Total resolves Over, Map Handicap counts the forfeit, and Match Winner resolves to the team that clinched.
  • Incomplete Match with Partial Completion: If the match begins but is not completed and one team wins via opponent forfeiture, the Match Winner market resolves to that team. However, Games Total and Map Handicap resolve 50-50 because the match was not fully completed.
  • 7-Day Delay Without Play: If the match is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled April 19 date without play beginning, all markets resolve 50-50 regardless of whether the match is eventually played.
  • Incomplete Individual Map: If the match begins but a specific map (Map 1 or Map 2) is not completed for any reason, that map's winner market resolves 50-50 even if other maps are completed.
  • VLR.gg Publication Delay: If vlr.gg does not publish final results within 2 hours of event conclusion, resolution sources shift to consensus of credible reporting and video evidence.

Timing:

Resolution occurs upon official publication of results by vlr.gg or, if unavailable within 2 hours of match conclusion, upon consensus of credible reporting and video evidence. The 7-day delay threshold is measured from the scheduled date of April 19, 2024 at 8:00 PM ET.
