Description
This event is for the WBB game between Tennessee Volunteers and North Carolina State Wolfpack on March 20 at 8:00 PM ET.
If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed.
If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50.
Kalshi resolves YES for both possible outcomes (either team winning), making the market logically contradictory and unresolvable. Polymarket correctly resolves to one of two mutually exclusive outcomes based on which team wins, aligning with standard sports betting logic.
Hero Tip:
Avoid Kalshi entirely — its resolution rules guarantee YES regardless of game outcome, which violates basic market logic. Trade only on Polymarket, which has sound binary resolution: Tennessee Volunteers wins → resolves 'Tennessee Volunteers'; North Carolina State wins → resolves 'North Carolina State Wolfpack'.
Critical Divergence Points:
Kalshi: Outlier: Resolves YES if North Carolina St. wins AND YES if Tennessee wins, creating a logical impossibility where both mutually exclusive outcomes trigger YES. Key quote: 'If North Carolina St. wins... then the market resolves to Yes. If Tennessee wins... then the market resolves to Yes.'
Polymarket: Distinct stance: Resolves to exactly one of two mutually exclusive outcomes — 'Tennessee Volunteers' if Tennessee wins, or 'North Carolina State Wolfpack' if NC State wins, with clear handling of postponement (market remains open) and cancellation (50-50 split). Key quote: 'If the Tennessee Volunteers win, the market will resolve to Tennessee Volunteers. If the North Carolina State Wolfpack win, the market will resolve to North Carolina State Wolfpack.'
