This market refers to the cricket match between Kandy Royals and Dambulla Sixers scheduled for July 18 2026 in T20 Lanka Premier League. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their books and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders who profit from accurate forecasts. This market's odds represent what thousands of independent traders believe will happen, which can sometimes offer a contrarian view to conventional sportsbook pricing, particularly as new information emerges closer to the match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader activity into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders purchase shares representing each possible outcome, and the price of those shares adjusts continuously based on supply and demand. The current odds reflect the aggregate confidence of all participants; as more traders buy or sell shares tied to a particular result, the implied probability shifts to balance the market.
This market resolves around Jul 25, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official result of the cricket fixture, with no ambiguity about which team won. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final ball being bowled, allowing traders to settle their positions promptly.
Key catalysts include team news such as player injuries, roster changes, or last-minute lineup announcements that alter perceived match strength. Weather conditions at the venue can significantly impact T20 cricket strategy and outcomes. Recent form, head-to-head records, and any off-field developments affecting either squad may also shift trader sentiment. As match day approaches, odds typically tighten as uncertainty decreases and the event becomes more predictable based on final confirmed information.
