This market refers to the StarCraft II match between SKillous and Fjant in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D, initially scheduled for July 4 at 3:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "SKillous" if SKillous win the match against Fjant. This market will resolve to "Fjant" if Fjant win the match against SKillous. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate decentralized trader beliefs without a house edge. This market may offer sharper pricing than some sportsbooks, especially if professional bettors and esports analysts are actively trading. Comparing the two can reveal value opportunities, though prediction markets typically lack the promotional bonuses and liquidity guarantees that sportsbooks provide.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker or order-book mechanism, where each share's cost reflects the collective probability assigned by the market. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price of a yes-share directly translates to implied odds, so a price of 0.75 means the market assigns roughly 75% probability to that outcome. As new trades occur, prices adjust instantly, allowing you to enter or exit positions at the prevailing rate. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices respond to new information.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official match result, confirmed through established esports reporting channels and tournament records. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as odds shift with pre-match analysis, team news, and live match developments. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final game, after which no further trading is permitted.
Key catalysts include player roster changes, recent tournament performance, head-to-head records, and pre-match commentary from esports analysts. Injury reports, team morale updates, or coaching adjustments can shift trader sentiment significantly. Live match developments—early map wins, player performance, or momentum swings—typically drive the most dramatic price movements as the event unfolds. Social media discussion, expert predictions, and betting patterns from other venues may also influence how traders reassess probabilities in real time.
