This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Lambo and Mixu in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D, initially scheduled for July 4 at 1:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "Lambo" if Lambo win the match against Mixu. This market will resolve to "Mixu" if Mixu win the match against Lambo. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders who buy and sell based on their own beliefs about the outcome. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing because traders have direct financial incentive to correct mispricings. However, sportsbooks may incorporate additional factors like injury reports or late-breaking news faster. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value.
On Polymarket, traders set the price of this market through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on buy and sell pressure. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on the outcome, and the current price reflects the aggregate belief of all active traders. As more capital flows toward one outcome, the implied probability shifts upward; conversely, selling pressure lowers it. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays responsive to new information and trader sentiment throughout the event window, creating a real-time consensus estimate of each player's winning chances.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will reflect which player wins the best-of-three series in this HomeStory Cup XXIX Group D matchup. Resolution hinges on the final score being confirmed through official tournament channels or widely recognized esports news sources. Traders should monitor the event schedule and any official announcements to anticipate the exact timing of resolution and ensure they understand the winning condition before the deadline approaches.
Several factors could shift this market significantly before resolution. Recent tournament results or head-to-head records between the two players often trigger repricing as traders update their expectations. In-game performance during earlier Group D matches may reveal form or momentum that influences odds. Player statements, roster changes, or technical issues during the broadcast could also spark trading activity. Additionally, community analysis and expert commentary shared on esports platforms may sway trader sentiment. Watch for any updates on player health, preparation, or meta-game shifts that could affect competitive advantage in the series.
