This market refers to the StarCraft II match between Clem and Elazer in the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group B, initially scheduled for July 3 at 2:45PM ET. This market will resolve to "Clem" if Clem win the match against Elazer. This market will resolve to "Elazer" if Elazer win the match against Clem. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one aggregate real-time beliefs from thousands of traders with direct financial stakes in accuracy. Prediction markets typically respond faster to new information and can offer sharper, less biased estimates when liquidity is deep. However, sportsbooks may incorporate additional factors like injury reports or line movement patterns that prediction markets lag on initially.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker (AMM) system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one player's victory, and the price of each share reflects the collective probability estimate at that moment. As more traders bet on one outcome, its price rises and the competing outcome's price falls, maintaining a zero-sum dynamic. This continuous price discovery mechanism ensures that this market remains responsive to new information about player form, recent tournament results, and community sentiment throughout the event window.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the Best-of-Three match concludes and the winner is verifiable from credible public reporting of the HomeStory Cup XXIX Group B bracket. The outcome is determined by which player wins the majority of games in the series. Resolution occurs after the final game is played and confirmed through official tournament records or widely recognized esports news sources. Early resolution is possible if one player advances before all three games are played.
Key catalysts include recent tournament performances by both players, any roster or coaching changes, live map pool announcements, and community commentary from professional analysts. During the match itself, each game result will shift odds dramatically, with the winner of Game 1 typically gaining momentum in trader sentiment. Technical factors like player ping, hardware issues, or unexpected map bans can also influence market prices in real time. Pre-match interviews, training footage, or head-to-head statistics released closer to the event date may trigger significant repricing as new information enters the market.
