This market will resolve in favor of the player that finishes Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most Total QBR (ESPN's Total Quarterback Rating) among qualified players. To qualify, a player must meet ESPN's minimum threshold for Total QBR leaderboard eligibility. Only games designated by the NFL as Week 1 of the 2026-27 regular season count. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player with more qualifying dropbacks in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player with a higher traditional passer rating in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to "Other". If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened or truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available Total QBR data for completed games. If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed past September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which player led the NFL in Total QBR among qualified players within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from ESPN; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially early in the market, as prediction markets can be more responsive to new information and changing perceptions about player performance. However, as the event approaches, the odds on Polymarket often converge with sportsbook lines.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders can buy and sell shares representing their belief in a particular outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe a player will lead in QBR, the higher the price of shares associated with that player will rise. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities accordingly.
This market resolves around Sep 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the Week 1 QBR leaders are verified against credible public reporting. The player with the highest QBR, as officially recorded by ESPN, will be considered the winner. Resolution will depend on official statistics being released and publicly available. Traders should monitor official NFL data releases to stay informed about the progress towards resolution and the potential impact on this market.
Several factors could significantly impact the probabilities in this market. Major player injuries during training camp or preseason games would be a primary catalyst, potentially shifting focus to backup quarterbacks. Unexpected coaching decisions or changes in offensive schemes could also influence expectations. Furthermore, any news regarding player trades or suspensions could lead to substantial movements in the odds. Preseason performance, while not always indicative of regular season success, can also sway market sentiment and cause shifts in trading volume.
