Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs about the probability of each exact score. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a particular outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook lines, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, analytical approaches, or simply variations in opinion. It’s a useful exercise to compare the two and see where the market diverges from conventional wisdom.
