Resolves Dec 31, 2026
$
This market tracks whether Anthropic releases its next Fable model (version 5.2 or higher) to the general public. Currently, Polymarket gives a 95.3% probability to the outcome of a release by December 31, 2026, as defined by official information from Anthropic and verified by credible reporting. The resolution source for this market is official information from Anthropic. Keep an eye on Anthropic’s official announcements regarding model releases, as the market will resolve based on whether a qualifying Fable model is publicly accessible by the end of the betting period on December 31, 2026.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if Anthropic's next Fable model (5.2+) is made available to the general public between market creation and the specified date (ET). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A qualifying model must have a name or model identifier that includes "Fable" and be designated as version 5.2 or higher, regardless of capitalization or surrounding prefixes, suffixes, dates, or descriptors. For example, a version 5.2 or higher named in the same manner as Claude Fable 5 or Claude Fable 5.1 would qualify, including a new whole-number generation such as Claude Fable 6, while models whose name does not include "Fable" or which retain a version designation below 5.2, such as Claude Fable 5.1 or Claude Mythos 5.1, will not qualify. A qualifying model must be launched and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice. The release must either be clearly defined and publicly announced by Anthropic as accessible to the general public, or otherwise be made publicly accessible and explicitly labeled on the company's official website. Labeling errors, placeholder text, or version names displayed on the website that do not correspond to a model that is actually accessible to the general public will not qualify. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Anthropic, with additional verification from a consensus of credible reporting.
Comparing prediction market odds to analyst forecasts reveals how collective intelligence stacks up against expert opinion. In this market, the implied probabilities from Polymarket may differ from those suggested by AI researchers or industry analysts following Fable AI’s development. Discrepancies can arise from differing access to information, biases in expert opinions, or the wisdom of the crowd effect, where a large number of independent predictions prove more accurate than individual forecasts. It’s important to consider both perspectives when evaluating the likelihood of a specific release date for the next Fable model.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price is determined by the forces of supply and demand; increased buying pressure drives up the price, indicating growing confidence in that outcome, while increased selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities accordingly.
This market resolves around Dec 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the release date of the next Fable model (version 5.2 or higher) is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on official announcements from Fable AI regarding the availability of the new model. The market will determine which outcome – a specific date range or 'no release by end of 2026' – aligns with the verifiable release information. Traders should monitor Fable AI’s official channels for updates leading up to the resolution date to stay informed about potential catalysts.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market. Official announcements from Fable AI regarding the development progress of the model, including beta testing phases or release date previews, would be major catalysts. Unexpected delays in development, reported bugs, or changes in the company’s strategic priorities could push the market towards later release dates or the 'no release' outcome. Positive news, such as successful benchmark results or partnerships, could increase confidence in an earlier release. Monitoring Fable AI’s blog, social media, and any official statements will be crucial for understanding potential market movements.
