Description
This event is for the WBB game between Maryland Terrapins and North Carolina Tar Heels on March 22 at 12:00 PM ET.
If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed.
If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50.
Kalshi resolves YES for both possible outcomes (North Carolina wins OR Maryland wins), creating a logical contradiction where the market cannot resolve NO. Polymarket correctly resolves to one of two mutually exclusive outcomes (Maryland Terrapins or North Carolina Tar Heels), making it the only resolvable market in this group.
Hero Tip:
Do not trade on Kalshi — this market is logically broken and will resolve YES regardless of the game result. Trade only on Polymarket, which has proper binary resolution logic where exactly one outcome will occur.
Critical Divergence Points:
Kalshi: Outlier: Resolves YES if North Carolina wins AND YES if Maryland wins, meaning the market resolves YES for all possible game outcomes. Key quotes: 'If North Carolina wins...then the market resolves to Yes' and 'If Maryland wins...then the market resolves to Yes.'
Polymarket: Outlier: Resolves to exactly one of two mutually exclusive outcomes — 'Maryland Terrapins' if Maryland wins, or 'North Carolina Tar Heels' if North Carolina wins, with clear postponement and cancellation rules. Key quote: 'If the Maryland Terrapins win, the market will resolve to Maryland Terrapins. If the North Carolina Tar Heels win, the market will resolve to North Carolina Tar Heels.'
