Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, being a peer-to-peer exchange, aims to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd with less built-in margin. However, discrepancies can arise due to differing information, risk assessments, or simply variations in the participants involved. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks, potentially leading to odds differences.
