Description

This market refers to the LoL match between Skillcamp Esport and Ici Japon Corp. Esport in the LFL Regular Season, initially scheduled for April 23 at 12:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Skillcamp Esport" if Skillcamp Esport win the match against Ici Japon Corp. Esport. This market will resolve to "Ici Japon Corp. Esport" if Ici Japon Corp. Esport win the match against Skillcamp Esport. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Issue:

Kalshi market resolves YES for ANY outcome (either team winning), making it logically contradictory and fundamentally unresolvable. Polymarket markets have coherent resolution logic tied to specific in-game events. The Kalshi market structure violates basic binary market principles.

Hero Tip:

Avoid the Kalshi market entirely — it is logically broken. The Polymarket markets (Quadra Kill, Penta Kill, Baron, Dragons, Inhibitors, Kills Parity, and Match Winner) are resolvable and internally consistent. If forced to trade Kalshi, recognize that the market will resolve YES regardless of outcome, making it equivalent to a guaranteed payout with no real risk.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: The market states: 'If Skillcamp Esport wins... then the market resolves to Yes. If Ici Japon Corp. Esport wins... then the market resolves to Yes.' This means the market resolves YES for both possible outcomes, which is a logical contradiction. No resolution path leads to NO. This violates fundamental binary market design.
  • Polymarket: All seven markets (Match Winner, Quadra Kill, Penta Kill, Baron Both Teams, Dragons Both Teams, Inhibitors Both Teams, Kills Parity) have coherent binary or ternary logic with clear YES/NO/50-50 resolution paths. Each market has a defined condition that can be true or false, and resolution sources are specified (gol.gg with 2-hour fallback to credible reporting). Example: 'Match Winner resolves to Skillcamp Esport if Skillcamp Esport wins the match, or to Ici Japon Corp. Esport if Ici Japon Corp. Esport wins.'
