Description

This market refers to the LoL match between Kaufland Hangry Knights and Eintracht Spandau in the Prime League 1st Division Regular Season, initially scheduled for April 17 at 11:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Kaufland Hangry Knights" if Kaufland Hangry Knights win the match against Eintracht Spandau. This market will resolve to "Eintracht Spandau" if Eintracht Spandau win the match against Kaufland Hangry Knights. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Issue:

Kalshi market resolves YES for ANY outcome (either team winning), making it logically incoherent and fundamentally unresolvable. Polymarket markets have coherent binary or outcome-based logic, but Kalshi's match-winner market contradicts the standard sports betting model.

Hero Tip:

Avoid the Kalshi match-winner market entirely — it is logically broken. The Polymarket markets (dragons, inhibitors, Baron, kills, multi-kills) are resolvable but depend entirely on Game 1 being played; if the series ends before Game 1 (e.g., 2-0 sweep in a BO3 context, though this is BO1), all resolve 50-50.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Kalshi's match-winner market states: 'If Kaufland Hangry Knights wins... then the market resolves to Yes. If Eintracht Spandau wins... then the market resolves to Yes.' This means the market resolves YES regardless of which team wins, making it impossible to resolve NO. This is a logical contradiction and data integrity failure.
  • Polymarket: Polymarket offers five coherent binary markets: (1) Both Teams Slay Dragon (Yes/No), (2) Both Teams Destroy Inhibitors (Yes/No), (3) Any Player Penta Kill (Yes/No), (4) Both Teams Slay Baron (Yes/No), (5) Any Player Quadra Kill (Yes/No), plus (6) Odd/Even Total Kills. All resolve based on actual in-game events during Game 1, with 50-50 fallback if Game 1 is not played, canceled, or delayed beyond 7 days. Resolution source is gol.gg with 2-hour fallback to credible reporting.
