Description

This market refers to the LoL match between Joblife and Ici Japon Corp. Esport in the LFL Regular Season, initially scheduled for April 15 at 3:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Joblife" if Joblife win the match against Ici Japon Corp. Esport. This market will resolve to "Ici Japon Corp. Esport" if Ici Japon Corp. Esport win the match against Joblife. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Issue:

Kalshi's resolution criteria are logically incoherent and unresolvable. Kalshi states the market resolves YES if either team wins the match, making it impossible for the market to ever resolve NO. Polymarket correctly defines a binary outcome where the market resolves to the winning team's name, with clear NO conditions (cancellation, tie, delay beyond 7 days, or forfeit before start).

Hero Tip:

Do not trade Kalshi's match-winner market — it contains a fatal logical flaw that makes it unresolvable. Polymarket's market is tradeable and follows standard sports resolution logic. If you hold Kalshi positions, escalate to PredictionHero support immediately for clarification or cancellation.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Outlier: Kalshi's resolution criteria state 'If Ici Japon Corp. Esport wins... then the market resolves to Yes' AND 'If Joblife wins... then the market resolves to Yes.' This creates a logical contradiction where the market resolves YES regardless of match outcome, with no defined NO condition. The market is mathematically unresolvable.
  • Polymarket: Aligned with standard sports resolution: Polymarket defines a binary outcome where the market resolves to 'Joblife' if Joblife wins and 'Ici Japon Corp. Esport' if Ici Japon Corp. Esport wins. Clear NO conditions are specified: cancellation, tie, delay beyond 7 days without a winner, or forfeit/disqualification before match start results in 50-50 resolution. This is logically coherent and resolvable.
