Description

This market refers to the LoL match between HANJIN BRION Challengers and Hanwha Life Esports Challengers in the LCK Challengers League Rounds 1-2, initially scheduled for April 27 at 1:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "HANJIN BRION Challengers" if HANJIN BRION Challengers win the match against Hanwha Life Esports Challengers. This market will resolve to "Hanwha Life Esports Challengers" if Hanwha Life Esports Challengers win the match against HANJIN BRION Challengers. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Issue:

Kalshi's resolution criteria state that the market resolves to Yes if either team wins the match, making both outcomes resolve identically to Yes. This is logically impossible for a binary market. Additionally, Kalshi references the 'LCK Challengers League 2026' championship outcome, not the specific match result, creating ambiguity about what event triggers resolution. Polymarket markets are coherent, game-specific, and independently resolvable.

Hero Tip:

Do not trade Kalshi markets in this group — the resolution logic is contradictory and unresolvable. Polymarket markets are well-defined: focus on match winner, game winners, and objective-based outcomes. All Polymarket markets include a 50-50 fallback for cancellation, delay beyond 7 days, or incomplete games.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Market states: 'If Hanwha Life Esports Challengers wins... then the market resolves to Yes. If OKSavingsBank BRION Challengers wins... then the market resolves to Yes.' Both outcomes resolve to Yes, violating binary logic. Also conflates league championship with match outcome. Unresolvable.
  • Polymarket: 16 distinct markets covering match winner, game winners (G1, G2), series length (O/U 2.5), and in-game statistics (Baron, Dragon, Inhibitor, multi-kills, kill parity per game). Each market has clear Yes/No or team-specific outcomes, with consistent 50-50 fallback for cancellation, delay >7 days, or incomplete games. Resolvable via gol.gg or credible consensus within 2 hours post-event.
