Description

This market refers to the LoL match between HANJIN BRION Challengers and BNK FearX Youth in the LCK Challengers League Rounds 1-2, initially scheduled for April 17 at 1:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "HANJIN BRION Challengers" if HANJIN BRION Challengers win the match against BNK FearX Youth. This market will resolve to "BNK FearX Youth" if BNK FearX Youth win the match against HANJIN BRION Challengers. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue:

Polymarket and Kalshi use different team name references and scope definitions. Polymarket explicitly names both teams (HANJIN BRION Challengers vs BNK FearX Youth) with detailed game-level and series-level markets, while Kalshi uses alternate naming (OKSavingsBank BRION Challengers vs BNK FearX Youth) and resolves only on match winner without game-level granularity.

Hero Tip:

If you trade on Polymarket, you gain access to 24 granular markets covering individual game outcomes, objective metrics (Baron, Dragon, Inhibitor, Quadra/Penta Kills), and kill totals. Kalshi offers only a binary match-winner market. Polymarket's handicap markets (-1.5 / +1.5) and total games (O/U 2.5) provide additional leverage not available on Kalshi. Ensure team name alignment when cross-referencing: Polymarket uses HANJIN BRION Challengers; Kalshi uses OKSavingsBank BRION Challengers — both refer to the same entity.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Polymarket:

Polymarket offers 24 distinct markets covering: series outcome (handicap and match winner), individual game winners (Games 1–2), game-level objectives (Baron, Dragon, Inhibitor slays; Quadra/Penta Kills), kill parity (Odd/Even total kills per game), and series length (O/U 2.5 games). Resolution source is gol.gg with 2-hour fallback to credible reporting. Key quote: 'Games won by forfeit, disqualification, walkover, or default are counted towards the handicap, provided that the match is completed.' Team name flexibility is explicitly allowed: 'Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team.'
  • Kalshi:

Kalshi offers a single binary match-winner market with no game-level or objective-level granularity. Resolution is binary: BNK FearX Youth wins OR OKSavingsBank BRION Challengers wins, with no 50-50 tie or cancellation clause explicitly stated in the provided description. The market uses alternate team naming (OKSavingsBank BRION Challengers instead of HANJIN BRION Challengers) and does not specify a resolution source or fallback mechanism.
