PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Polymarket provides comprehensive resolution rules for six distinct markets (match winner, Baron, Dragon, Inhibitor, Quadra Kill, Penta Kill, and Odd/Even Kills) with detailed edge cases and a primary source (gol.gg), while Kalshi offers only a single binary market on match outcome with no resolution details, source specification, or edge case handling. The two platforms are fundamentally misaligned in scope, granularity, and resolvability.Hero tip: If you trade on Polymarket, you have six separate markets with explicit resolution rules and a named primary source (gol.gg). If you trade on Kalshi, you have only one match-outcome market with no published resolution methodology or source — this creates asymmetric information risk. Polymarket traders can rely on detailed gol.gg data; Kalshi traders face ambiguity on how the match result will be verified and what happens if gol.gg is unavailable.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Outlier: Polymarket publishes seven distinct markets covering match winner, Baron Nashor kills, Dragon kills, Inhibitor destruction, Quadra Kill, Penta Kill, and Odd/Even total kills. Each market has explicit resolution rules, a primary source (gol.gg with 2-hour fallback to credible reporting), and detailed edge cases for cancellation, forfeit, remake, and incomplete games. For example, the match-winner market states 'This market will resolve to 50-50' if canceled, delayed beyond 7 days, or ends in forfeit/disqualification, and 'If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins.'
  • Kalshi: Outlier: Kalshi offers a single binary market ('If Team Orange Gaming wins...then the market resolves to Yes' and 'If Eintracht Spandau wins...then the market resolves to Yes') with no resolution source, no edge case rules, no handling of cancellation/forfeit/delay, and no specification of what constitutes a 'win.' The market description provides no reference to gol.gg, no fallback source, and no clarification of how ties, forfeits, or incomplete games are resolved.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the LoL match between Eintracht Spandau and Team Orange Gaming in the Prime League 1st Division Regular Season, initially scheduled for April 10 at 12:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Eintracht Spandau" if Eintracht Spandau win the match against Team Orange Gaming. This market will resolve to "Team Orange Gaming" if Team Orange Gaming win the match against Eintracht Spandau. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect real-time trader consensus and can differ meaningfully from traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks typically adjust odds to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets aggregate decentralized participant beliefs with minimal intermediation. For this Prime League matchup, comparing Polymarket odds to major esports sportsbooks reveals how professional betting markets price Spandau versus Orange Gaming relative to crowd-sourced predictions. Prediction markets often react faster to breaking news, roster changes, or scrim results, making them a complementary signal to conventional betting lines.

Key catalysts include roster announcements, player injuries or substitutions, recent scrim results, and head-to-head performance trends in the Prime League. Team form leading up to the match—win streaks, losses, or meta adaptations—can shift trader sentiment significantly. Coaching changes, strategic innovations, or patch updates affecting champion viability may also influence odds. Media coverage, expert predictions, and community sentiment around team strengths can drive trading volume and price movement. Any official league communications regarding the teams or match conditions will likely trigger immediate market reactions as participants reassess probabilities.
