This event group covers a KBO (Korean Baseball Organization) regular season game between NC Dinos and Kia Tigers scheduled for July 4, 2026 at 5:00 AM EDT. Both Polymarket and Kalshi offer prediction markets on the outcome of this single baseball game.
This is a market on the KBO baseball game between NC Dinos and Kia Tigers, scheduled for July 4 at 5:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "NC Dinos" if the NC Dinos win the game. This market will resolve to "Kia Tigers" if the Kia Tigers win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source will be official information from the KBO. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Resolution is based on the final result of the game originally scheduled for July 4, 2026 at 5:00 AM EDT. If the game is postponed or delayed, markets remain open and close after the rescheduled game concludes within two days. Should the game be cancelled or rescheduled beyond two days, markets resolve to a fair price per official rules. In the event of a tie, all markets resolve to 50/50.
Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets rely on continuous trading by informed participants to surface consensus probabilities. This market's odds reflect what traders believe will happen, often incorporating real-time information faster than sportsbooks adjust their lines. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook spreads can reveal value opportunities, though liquidity and regulatory differences mean the two rarely converge exactly.
Key catalysts include injury announcements, roster changes, recent team performance trends, and head-to-head historical matchups. Weather conditions on game day, home-field advantage factors, and late-breaking lineup decisions can all shift trader sentiment. Major news about either team's playoff positioning or momentum swings in the KBO season may trigger repricing. Additionally, sharp money entering the market—often signaled by sudden volume spikes or one-sided order flow—frequently precedes significant price moves as professional bettors position ahead of the event.
