This market tracks the outcome of the first set in the professional tennis match between Kamilla Rakhimova and Maria Sakkari at the 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 64 on July 2. The winner of set 1 determines the market resolution.
The market resolves based on which player wins set 1 of the Kamilla Rakhimova vs Maria Sakkari match at 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 64. If the match does not occur before it starts due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to fair price. Postponements or delays keep the market open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled from completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders competing to profit on their forecasts. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing because traders have direct financial incentive to correct mispricings. However, sportsbook odds may incorporate additional factors like injury reports or late-breaking news. Comparing both sources can reveal valuable insights into how different groups assess the likelihood of this set's outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the ratio of buy and sell orders at any given moment, with the combined probabilities of all outcomes converging toward 100 percent. As traders adjust their positions based on new information or shifting confidence, the price updates in real time. This dynamic pricing model allows you to enter or exit positions at market rates throughout the trading period.
This market resolves around Jul 2, 2026, once the tennis match concludes and the set one winner is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by which player wins the first set according to official match records. Until that time, you can trade your position, and the market price will fluctuate based on live match developments, player performance, and trader sentiment. Resolution occurs automatically once the result is confirmed.
Several factors could shift the odds before resolution. Live match performance—such as early breaks, momentum swings, or service dominance—typically drives the largest price moves. Player injuries or unexpected tactical adjustments during warm-up can also trigger repricing. News about recent form, head-to-head records, or court conditions may influence trader positioning ahead of the match. As the set progresses, each game won or lost will likely cause sharp price movements. Trader sentiment and betting patterns on related markets can also create secondary waves of activity in this market.
