Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective predictions of traders. As a result, the implied probabilities reflected in the prediction market may differ from those offered by sportsbooks, potentially offering value to informed bettors. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when public opinion deviates from expert analysis or when there’s significant uncertainty surrounding the event.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding shares will rise. Conversely, if traders become less confident, the price will fall. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
