On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time probabilities for each exact score outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each possible scoreline has its own contract, and the price of that contract reflects the percentage chance assigned by the market at any given moment. As traders buy or sell a particular outcome, its price adjusts upward or downward, and the probabilities of all other outcomes shift accordingly to maintain the market's internal consistency. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures that the odds always reflect the latest information and sentiment among active traders.
This market resolves around Aug 2, 2026, once the Houston Dash versus Gotham FC match concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact scoreline at the end of regulation play. Whichever exact score outcome matches the official final result will be marked correct, and all traders holding that contract will receive their payout. All other exact score outcomes will resolve to zero value.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before the match kicks off. Team news—such as injuries to key players, lineup announcements, or tactical changes—often triggers sharp repricing. Recent form, head-to-head history, and home-field advantage can all influence trader expectations about the likely scoreline. Weather conditions on match day, referee assignments, and late roster updates may also prompt traders to adjust their positions. As the match approaches, any breaking developments in either squad's preparation or confidence levels can cause rapid movement in the probabilities assigned to different exact scores.
