The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by trader consensus and real-money risk. This market aggregates beliefs from a decentralized crowd of participants, which can sometimes price outcomes differently than traditional oddsmakers. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbook lines can reveal where the crowd sees value or where sharp money is flowing, though both sources remain imperfect forecasts of the final result.
On Polymarket, traders set prices for each exact score outcome through an automated market maker (AMM) mechanism. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each scoreline is represented as a separate contract, and the collective trading activity—buys and sells across all possible results—determines the implied probability and odds for any given outcome. As more capital flows into a particular score, its price rises and others adjust downward. This continuous repricing reflects the crowd's evolving confidence in each scoreline as new information emerges.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the FC Seoul vs. Pohang Steelers match concludes and the final score is verified. The outcome is confirmed against credible public reporting of the official result. Traders holding contracts matching the exact final scoreline receive their payout, while all other exact score positions expire worthless. Resolution is automatic once the match result is publicly confirmed and the platform's verification process is complete.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, lineup changes, or managerial decisions—can shift odds significantly as traders reassess each side's attacking and defensive strength. Recent form, head-to-head history, and league standings also influence scoreline probabilities. Weather conditions, venue factors, and pre-match betting patterns from sportsbooks may trigger repricing. As the match approaches, late-breaking tactical announcements or injury confirmations often trigger sharp moves. During the match itself, early goals, red cards, or momentum swings will cause rapid revaluation of remaining scoreline outcomes.
