In the upcoming DFB-Pokal game between Eintracht Braunschweig and 1. FC Union Berlin, scheduled for August 23, 2026 at 9:30 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Eintracht Braunschweig vs. 1. FC Union Berlin match originally scheduled for August 23, 2026 at 9:30 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
The event determines whether the total goals scored by both Braunschweig and Union Berlin during the DFB Pokal match scheduled for August 23, 2026, exceed specified thresholds within regulation time — defined as 90 minutes plus any stoppage time, but explicitly excluding extra time or penalty shootouts. Each market corresponds to a different threshold: 0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, or 5.5 goals. If the cumulative goals meet or surpass the threshold for a given market, that market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. All markets are independent, and each evaluates the same match under identical temporal constraints. The secondary rules clarify that the platform hosting these markets is not officially affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect sharper insights because traders can bet on granular outcomes like specific scores, whereas sportsbooks typically offer broader lines such as match winners or over/under totals. This market lets you wager on the precise result, capturing nuances that broader bets miss. Traders price in real-time reactions to news, form, and conditions, which can create divergence from traditional sportsbook lines that update less frequently.
On Polymarket and Kalshi, pricing can vary due to differences in user base, liquidity, and available betting options. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one platform might attract more European fans who favor a particular scoreline, while another could reflect global traders with different views on team form. These dynamics create distinct probability distributions, so Polymarket and Kalshi may show different leading outcomes.
Injuries, weather updates, or tactical changes announced by coaches can shift this market sharply. Key players being ruled out or a sudden downpour that favors a defensive style may increase the chance of low-scoring outcomes. Also, early goal momentum during the match can cascade into market adjustments as traders react live to the unfolding game.
