Description

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper bracket round of 16 match between Rebels Gaming and playersclub in the ESL Challenger League Europe Cup #4 Playoffs, initially scheduled for April 25 at 1:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Rebels Gaming" if Rebels Gaming win the match against playersclub. This market will resolve to "playersclub" if playersclub win the match against Rebels Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Issue:

Kalshi's market is logically contradictory and unresolvable (resolves to Yes for any outcome). Polymarket markets are coherent and resolvable. The Kalshi market cannot be used for settlement.

Hero Tip:

Ignore Kalshi entirely. Use only Polymarket markets. All Polymarket markets require match completion within 7 days of April 25, 2026 at 1:00 PM EDT. If the match is canceled, delayed beyond 7 days without completion, or ends in a forfeit/walkover before play begins, markets resolve 50-50. Verify all results via HLTV.org within 2 hours of match conclusion; use credible video evidence if HLTV is delayed.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Single market with tautological logic: 'If playersclub wins... Yes. If Rebels Gaming wins... Yes.' This resolves to Yes regardless of match outcome, rendering the market meaningless and unresolvable. No edge cases or cancellation logic provided.
  • Polymarket: Nine distinct markets with clear binary/categorical outcomes: match winner, map 1/2 winners, map 1/2/3 round parity, map 1/2/3 kill parity, games total (O/U 2.5), and map handicap (-1.5/+1.5). Each market includes comprehensive edge-case handling (cancellation, delay >7 days, forfeit, walkover, incomplete play, remakes). Primary source: HLTV.org; secondary: credible reporting with video evidence if HLTV delayed >2 hours post-match.
