Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect real-time trader consensus rather than fixed odds set by oddsmakers. This market aggregates thousands of individual forecasts, which can lead to faster price adjustments when new information emerges. Sportsbooks typically adjust more slowly and build in larger margins. Comparing the two reveals whether professional bettors and casual traders see the outcome differently, making prediction markets a useful signal for identifying potential value or consensus blind spots.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probability percentages. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has its own price, and as traders accumulate shares in one result, the price of that outcome rises while others fall. The system ensures continuous liquidity and transparent pricing. Traders profit by buying low and selling high, or by holding shares until the market resolves and collecting their payout based on the final outcome.
This market resolves around Jul 31, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team scores the opening goal during regular play. No other factors—such as own goals, penalties, or extra time—affect the resolution. Once the event is finalized and confirmed through reliable reporting, the market settles and winning traders receive their payout automatically.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—can shift odds significantly, as can recent form and head-to-head records. Weather conditions and venue factors may influence attacking play and scoring patterns. Pre-match analysis from respected analysts or unexpected betting activity can trigger rapid repricing. As the match approaches, odds typically tighten around the most likely outcome. Live updates during the game itself will drive final price movements until the opening goal is scored, at which point this market resolves immediately.
