Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim to represent the true probability of an event occurring, as assessed by traders. It’s common to see differences in probabilities, particularly as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market allows for a broader range of perspectives and real-time adjustments based on collective intelligence. Examining these differences can be insightful for informed decision-making.
