Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders themselves, who stake real capital on outcomes they believe are mispriced. This market's odds may move faster or wider than traditional sportsbooks during breaking news or shifts in team form, since traders respond immediately without the friction of a bookmaker's margin. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs most sharply.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker (AMM) model, where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective belief of all participants; as more traders buy a particular outcome, its price rises, and vice versa. Your position's value fluctuates with every trade, and you can exit at any time by selling your shares back into the pool. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures transparent, real-time odds without reliance on a traditional bookmaker.
This market resolves around Jul 26, 2026, once the match concludes and the second-half result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the official final score and result recorded for the second half only, independent of first-half events. Your position will settle automatically based on which outcome occurred, and any winnings or losses will be credited to your account. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the match ending, pending confirmation from authoritative sports data sources.
Several factors can shift odds before the match concludes. Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes announced before kickoff—often triggers sharp moves, as do weather conditions or venue factors that affect play style. During the first half, goals, red cards, or tactical shifts can reshape expectations for the second half, since traders reassess momentum and fatigue. Late-breaking betting syndicates or sharp money flowing into one side can also move prices quickly. Monitor official team announcements and live match commentary to stay ahead of sentiment swings.
