Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market's pricing is driven purely by traders’ beliefs. If sportsbook odds initially favor one competitor significantly, but traders in this market believe the contest is closer, the prediction market odds will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional sportsbooks over time, especially as more information becomes available and the event approaches.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and express their views, the price fluctuates, reflecting the collective prediction. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined by supply and demand; if more people believe a particular competitor will win, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa.

This market resolves around Sep 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Mykola vs. Mykola match as reported by the governing sports body. The platform will then determine the winning outcome based on this official data. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in losing outcomes will forfeit their stake.

Several factors could influence the pricing of this market before Sep 30, 2026.
