Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective intelligence of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. Typically, prediction markets can offer more accurate probabilities, especially when there’s significant public interest and information available. However, sportsbook odds can provide a useful benchmark for comparison, and discrepancies may signal potential value in either market.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the aggregated view of the crowd. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by new information, analysis, and shifts in sentiment among traders, creating a dynamic and responsive prediction tool.

This market resolves around Sep 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Zavoloka vs. Bakin match as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome is the winner and distribute payouts accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for updates as the resolution date approaches.

Several signals or events could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or unexpected developments in training could shift the odds. Public sentiment, as reflected in expert analysis and media coverage, also plays a role. Furthermore, significant betting activity – a large influx of volume on one outcome – could indicate informed traders have new information, causing the market to react accordingly. Monitoring these factors will be key to understanding potential price movements.
