The market resolves based on which player wins set 3 of the Zachary Svajda vs Kamil Majchrzak match in the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 64. If the match does not occur before play begins due to player injury, walkover, forfeiture, or other cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price as determined by the Exchange. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a retirement occurs during play, any markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; markets that cannot be unconditionally settled resolve to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's sole discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders betting real money on outcomes they believe will occur. This market aggregates the collective judgment of participants rather than a bookmaker's calculation, which can lead to sharper or more efficient pricing on specific events like tennis set winners.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the probability traders assign to that player winning Set 3, with the bid-ask spread showing the current consensus range. As new information emerges or trading volume shifts, prices adjust in real time to balance supply and demand.
This market resolves around Jul 2, 2026, once the Svajda vs Majchrzak match concludes and the Set 3 result is confirmed. The outcome will be verified against credible public sources covering professional tennis, ensuring accuracy and fairness. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as odds shift with match developments and real-time play.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Player form and recent match results, court surface conditions, head-to-head history, and any injury reports will influence trader positioning. During the match itself, momentum swings, set momentum, and performance in early games of Set 3 can trigger sharp price moves as traders update their beliefs about the likely winner. Pre-match news and betting patterns on other sportsbooks may also signal shifting expectations.
