Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe an outcome is more likely than a sportsbook suggests, the price will move accordingly. It’s common to see prediction markets offer more accurate probabilities, especially as an event approaches, as they aggregate diverse perspectives.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Svitlana vs. Kurtenko match. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined entirely by supply and demand, with no central bookmaker setting the odds. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities accordingly.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and objective.
